Mission

INFANTRY ACADEMY MISSION

– Train PZ officers to become capable of performing the duties of their rank, and up to two (2) higher echelons.

1. Specifically to:
Maintain the knowledge gained while attending previous schools.
They are able to carry out the duties of the Commander up to two (2) senior ranks during episodes.
They are able to adapt to rapidly evolving situations and situations of uncertainty.

Understand:
The staff artifacts that will be used in Tactics during planning.
The procedures for rapid decision making and issuance of IC Section Orders.

2. Know:
The administrative – staff function and tactical utilization of the department they manage.
The tactical utilisation of assets and weapon systems
The internal functioning of the department they command.
The basic elements of IM up to unit level.
The requirements and purpose of individual operations.
The proper utilization of the necessary combat support.
The implementation of BOC.
The tactical employment of other O-Cs.
The procedures for organizing the training of their technical section assets.
The handling of S/A, the correct use of radio-telephony rules, and their networking.
The basic operation of the main weapon systems of the PZ
The SK 20-1 and SK 20-2.
The safety and health of personnel.

3. To acquire:
Excellent physical fitness.
Preparation of means of fire.
Fire procedures.
Maintenance of the means of their section.

– Retraining of PZ Reservists.

– Trains officers of all Corps and Works with their Implementing Schools on issues of co-training in the form of combined operations, cross-assignment of instructors, enrichment of training programs and redefining training requirements.
